Houston Methodist again tops list of Texas hospitals in national rankings | Houston Public Media

The list of the top 20 highest-rated hospitals in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report, has been released.

The No. 1 hospital in Texas according to U.S. News & World Report is Houston Methodist Hospital. Marc Boom, president and CEO of Houston Methodist, said they are always seeking to push the envelope.

“Our focus is really on what we call the fundamentals of unparalleled safety, quality service, and innovation. So, when we focus on those, we know that the awards will follow,” said Boom. “It’s all about taking care of the patients and it’s about teams of amazing physicians and amazing nurses and all of the other people around them that help make this happen every single day.”

For the past 14 years, Houston Methodist has claimed the No. 1 spot in Texas.

“We’ll never be satisfied today with where we were yesterday,” said Boom.

Boom said they will continue striving to be the best, and their staff of nearly 35,000 employees remain laser-focused on meeting the needs of patients.

“People who work at Houston Methodist come to Houston Methodist to work with passion, with purpose and really wanting to make a difference in other human beings’ lives.”
