Just two days before her father’s death, Kelly Osbourne shared a sweet post that’s believed to be one of the last videos of the heavy metal legend.
WASHINGTON — Kelly Osbourne has shared an emotional tribute to her father Ozzy Osbourne, who died Tuesday at age 76.
Kelly, 40, posted lyrics from Black Sabbath’s 1972 ballad “Changes” on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
“I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had,” she wrote, alongside a broken heart emoji.
In 2003, Kelly and Ozzy released a cover of the Black Sabbath song, which reached number one on the UK singles chart.
Kelly’s tribute was her first comment since the family released a statement on Tuesday announcing Ozzy had died.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” a family statement on Osbourne’s Instagram read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
Just two days before her father’s death, Kelly shared a sweet video of the heavy metal legend and her son on social media. The video was posted July 20 on Kelly’s Instagram Story. In the clip, Ozzy is seen sitting at the kitchen table wearing headphones and looking up from a tablet as Kelly says good morning. He smiles and greets her and her followers with a gentle “Good morning.”
Kelly’s mother, Sharon, responded to several of the social media tributes posted by friends and fans.
Ozzy’s death came just weeks after his final live performance, where he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates. The concert marked the end of Osbourne’s touring career after a 2020 Parkinson’s diagnosis and a spinal surgery forced him to stop performing in 2023.
