DALLAS — Kesha postponed her Dallas concert Tuesday as storms moved through North Texas because of safety concerns.

The singer announced her Dos Equis Pavilion concert set for Tuesday was postponed on her social media channels. It was rescheduled for Wednesday, July 9.

Thunderstorms moved through North Texas Tuesday, leading to flash flood warnings across parts of DFW and a ground stop at DFW Airport.

More chances for isolated showers and storms are in the forecast Wednesday. The thunderstorms in North Texas came after devastating floods in Central Texas over the July 4 holiday weekend left 109 dead and 160-plus people missing, including several North Texans

“Due to the weather and what y’all here in Texas have been facing, I have to put your safety first,” Kesha said in a post on X Tuesday. “I’m so sorry I can’t play this show tonight because of the weather and for all of your safety. But I’m going to stay here in your beautiful city and come back here tomorrow and would love to play for all of you tomorrow night.”

Kesha said tickets for the Tuesday show will be honored Wednesday.

“Get home safe, let’s party tomorrow,” Kesha said.

The next show on Kesha’s tour with the Scissor Sisters after Wednesday’s show will be at The Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands.
