Kimberly-Clark hasn’t sold this much Kleenex, Huggies in years

The company is ranked as the 12th-largest public company in North Texas based on its 2024 revenue of $20.06 billion.

Kleenex-maker Kimberly-Clark Corp. reported its highest volume growth in the past half-decade in its second-quarter earnings announced Aug. 1.

The Irving-based consumer goods and personal care product manufacturer focuses on paper-made products, including tissues, Huggies diapers and baby wipes, feminine hygiene products and toilet paper.

In its earnings report, Kimberly-Clark said organic sales for the quarter rose 3.9%, driven by 5% volume growth — the highest level for that metric in five years. The company raised its full-year guidance, thanks in part to new premium and budget products.

Still, the impacts of Kimberly-Clark’s sale of its majority stake in its international Kleenex and tissues business for $3.4 billion in June were reflected in the company’s earnings. Net sales of $4.2 billion were down 1.6% from the same quarter a year prior, which CEO Michael Hsu attributed to the divestiture and tariffs-related costs.
