In a quiet moment amidst the mayhem of her show, Lady Gaga gave her fiancé, Michael Polansky, a sweet shout-out during her concert at the Kia Forum on Tuesday (July 29).
Sitting at the piano after singing her Billboard Hot 100-topping Bruno Mars duet, “Die With a Smile,” solo, the pop superstar tearfully thanked Polansky as Little Monsters in the Los Angeles crowd cheered, as captured in a clip on X. “To Michael, Michael Polansky, the love of my life,” she began, her voice quivering slightly.
“It’s so much more fun doing this with you, my babe,” she continued, before addressing her fans. “Thank you for how you’ve blessed our life. I hope one day I just vanish into each and every one of you.”
Gaga went on to sing “Vanish Into You” from her No. 1 Billboard 200 album Mayhem. Polansky just so happens to have a cowriting credit on the track, as he does on several other songs on the LP. The 14-time Grammy winner has been open about how integral the businessman was in the making of Mayhem, at one point revealing that he was the one who encouraged her to return to dance-pop music in the first place.
“Like anyone would do for the person they love, I encouraged her to lean in to the joy of it,” Polansky told Vogue last September. “On the Chromatica tour, I saw a fire in her; I wanted to help her keep that alive all the time and just start making music that made her happy.”
Gaga and Polansky met in 2019 and got engaged in April 2024. The musician has since spoken many times on their close relationship, calling him her “best friend” and revealing in March that she wants to have children with him “more than anything.”
For now, though, the star’s focus is on her Mayhem Ball Tour, which kicked off earlier in July with three nights in Las Vegas. After she finishes four performances at the Kia Forum, she’ll bring the trek to New York City, Toronto and Chicago and more North American cities before embarking on a European leg.
