In the latest episode of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” the trip to Puerto Rico goes left after Spice clashes with Ashley and Lil Zane. Things will only worsen once a cheating allegation about Salma begins to make the rounds. Here are the highlights for “Hispanyolo.”
Erica Banks is willing to be cordial with Salma Slims.
Karlie Redd, Spice, and Erica Banks catch up as they soak in the beautiful scenery of Puerto Rico. Erica says she can be around Salma Slims as long as no shade is thrown her way because she’ll return the energy. Spice originally mistakes Salma’s name for Salmon due to Erica constantly referring to her as such. Karlie has to correct her. Either way, Erica doesn’t think they have real beef. They can eventually become cordial.
When Erica is asked about how things are going with her girlfriend, she says they have been talking about marriage. She’s happy.
Spice is happy to see Karlie glow, considering the hard time she’s been going through with the dissolution of her marriage. Karlie is grateful to be in a better headspace.
Is Lil Zane about to expose Salma Slims?
Lil Zane hangs out with Lil Scrappy and Mendeecees. Mendeecees says Yandy couldn’t come to Puerto Rico because she had to go to Greece for a business trip. In a confessional, Zane says Yandy has been posting photos from a yacht on her social media accounts. Something isn’t adding up.
Scrappy is by himself as well since Britney is still upset about what Salma Slims told her. She isn’t so sure Scrappy hasn’t been sleeping with Shakira. So she didn’t want to go with him to Puerto Rico. At the mention of Salma’s name, Zane says he knows some terrible information about someone in the group. Scrappy realizes that Salma and 24hrs are the only other couple outside of Zane and Ashley. And this isn’t going to end well.
Momma Dee is ready to move forward with Bambi after years of conflict.
Bambi goes to Sierra’s shop to talk and praise her progress. Sierra has been feeling better since she stopped mixing alcohol with her depression medication. She realized she had hit rock bottom and had to take action. Bambi is happy to see her friend is doing much better.
Sierra tells Bambi that Momma Dee recently told her she wants to make peace with Bambi. Bambi isn’t so certain Momma Dee means this, though, given their past. However, she agrees to meet with Momma Dee to hear her out.
Ashley is starting to feel like an outsider.
Back in Puerto Rico, Ashley is starting to feel like an outsider when it comes to her position in the group. She has more tension with Spice when she doesn’t understand an inside joke between Spice, Erica, and Karlie. She also rubs Karlie the wrong way when she makes a shady comment about Yandy being in Greece instead of Puerto Rico with Mendeecees. In a green screen interview, Karlie says she is trying to be nice to Ashley, but she’s trying it when it comes to Yandy.
As for Spice, she’s also losing patience with Ashley. She tells her it’s not that serious, and they can hash out their issues after they return from Puerto Rico. Right now, she just wants to enjoy the trip.
It is also awkward when Scrappy comes over. He says he doesn’t like the energy coming from Ashley, and she responds that she only returns the energy given. Scrappy is confused and doesn’t understand the tension.
Mendeecees is at peace with whatever happens.
Ashley makes her way over to the bar where Mendeecees and Zane are sitting. Mendeecees tells them Yandy is in Greece. Zane questions how he can trust Yandy to travel amid all the headlines. Mendeecees believes it’s unhealthy to try to control another grown person. He prefers just having peace.
Ashley vents more about her frustrations with the group to Erica. Erica thinks Spice was being shady, but Ashley was also taking things too personally. Ashley just feels like Spice is always coming at her sideways. And she can’t understand why.
Momma Dee and Bambi have a productive conversation.
Bambi and Momma Dee meet for their sit-down. Momma Dee says she doesn’t want to continue to have a bad relationship with Bambi. She wants them to have a better relationship for her grandkids. While Bambi appreciates this, she isn’t sure if this is genuine. Momma Dee understands why Bambi is unsure to trust her. But she is committed to proving she is serious with her actions. And she apologizes for not inviting Bambi to the christening of the children. She won’t move like that again.
Spice checks Zane and Ashley.
Dinner starts off with some positivity when Erica and Salma are able to make peace. However, it goes left when Ashley tries to once again talk things out with Spice. She thinks Spice started to dislike her after she tried to get clarity amid her and Bambi’s beef. Spice accuses Ashley of just wanting the spotlight because she told her she was willing to talk after the trip. After Ashley keeps going, Zane eventually jumps in to back her up, and Spice tells both that she will beat them up and that Zane flirted with her friend in London. This results in Scrappy trying to calm everyone down.
Zane and Ashley leave dinner early.
Those who remain then focus their attention on Mendeecees. Scrappy asks him how his relationship with Yandy is going. Mendeecees says that no matter what, they will always be family. Karlie gets straight to the point and asks if they are still together. The episode ends on a cliffhanger before Mendeecees can answer.
