Local 13-year-old uses A.I. to find summer job

When you’re job hunting, where do you usually look?

A 13-year-old from Duncanville decided that artificial intelligence would be a great way to find a summer job to make some extra cash.

“I just really wanted to make some money,” AJ Howard said. “I was just trying to figure out how I would be able to do it.”

AJ’s dad, Andrew, said it all started because his son had one question for him.

“He came to me initially asking, what was the budget for school shopping, and I said, man, it’s time to create your own budget. So, I said he should use his resources to come up with an idea. That idea was CHAT GPT. He typed in his age and that he was trying to find a job, and AI said pressure washing trash cans may be it,” Howard, Sr. said.

His goal was to make $1000.

“I play basketball and baseball, so I wanted it for that. I also want to invest some of it, and then I am going to keep the rest for myself,” AJ said.

As of July 30, just about two weeks after he started, he reached his $1,000 goal. His dad said he has been booked ever since. Their first post on Instagram got hundreds of thousands of engagements with people sharing it on social media.

AJ said he plans to make as much money as he can before the school year starts.
