Man fatally shot near Maple and Wycliff avenues in Dallas, police say

Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

DALLAS — A man was shot and killed Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Wycliff Avenue, according to Dallas police.

Officers responded to the shooting call around 2:35 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound at the scene. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel responded and pronounced the man dead, police said in a statement.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity. No additional details were immediately available.
