Mitski has announced her first concert film, which comes out in theaters around the world on October 22. Filmed over three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre, Mitski: The Land was directed by Grant James and arrives in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing. Mitski’s longtime produced Patrick Hyland mixed the audio. Though the show was in support of The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, it features stunning “reworkings and reimaginations” of songs from throughout Mitski’s discography.
I caught Mitski’s set at Primavera Sound last year, and it was an absolute highlight. If you didn’t get to see her on that tour, I highly recommend you watch this one. Tickets will be available here, starting September 15.
