Newsmax host on Trump administration’s Tylenol guidance: “Since the Democrats are so angrily denouncing it and they’re wrong about everything, it’s probably more likely to be true”

MERCEDES SCHLAPP (CO-HOST): Not good. Speaking to CBS news, Tylenol maker Kenvue says independent sound science clearly shows that taking acetaminophen often does not cause autism. Thank you. Acetaminophen. I couldn’t even say that. That’s horrible. All right, Hilary, what is — what’s the real deal here? Is it is this a real thing happening? Don’t take Tylenol. 

HILARY FORDWICH (CO-HOST): OK, so big pharma and big food obviously is going to hate me for saying this. Do not put chemicals in your body. Just don’t put chemicals in your body. We’ve been here 400,000 years since neanderthal man.

For 400,000 years, we didn’t have all those chemicals. It’s not natural. It’s not good for you. It’s going to have side effects no matter what. Don’t put them in your body, let alone when you’re pregnant.

SCHLAPP: Chris, I was trying to figure this out because when I was pregnant, I remember they told us, don’t take Advil. I think that was the bad one to take. And they said, take Tylenol. And now you’re seeing that they’re looking at all this research. Is it — you know, what do you what do you think parents are going to think about this? 

CHRIS PLANTE (HOST): Well, there are a couple of things. First of all, I think we’re supposed to be a science based civilization, a science based culture. We have one member of the Supreme Court that can’t tell you what a woman is. And so —

SCHLAPP: That is true. 

PLANTE: It’s getting a little weird. And, you know, when life begins and things. But I’ve got to say, there is one study that our government is using here that is an amalgam of more than 40 different studies into this very matter of Tylenol and birth defect issues and autism in particular. And on balance — and of course, the industry and the company aren’t going to say, yeah, let’s investigate it because they’re terrified they’ll be sued into oblivion. But it’s scientifically it’s worth taking a look at and there’s no harm in that. And also, since the Democrats are so angrily denouncing it and they’re wrong about everything, it’s probably more likely to be true.
