Construction on a 190-room hotel at the multibillion-dollar Firefly Park development in Frisco is set to begin early next year.
And that’s just one of the big pieces falling into place for the multibillion-dollar development that’s been years in the making.
Work on the Dream Hotel should begin in February, a spokesperson said in an email. A price tag of $129 million was given for the 16-story, 340,484-square-foot project in a July 29 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the details of which were confirmed by the developer.
The hotel, located on the east side of Fireglass Way and Brixley Boulevard, will also feature meeting space and offices, along with a restaurant. The project is part of the first phase of Firefly Park, which will also include 230 townhomes, 130,000 square feet of retail and dining space, a 25,000-square-foot amphitheater, a 1,400-space parking garage, apartments, and a wedding chapel and event center.
