North Texas man arrested on child pornography charges, records show

Manual Hernandez, 38, of Quinlan, was arrested Thursday for possession of child pornography, according to the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.

QUINLAN, Texas — A North Texas man was arrested Thursday morning for possession of child pornography after a multi-agency investigation, authorities said.

At about 6:30 a.m., the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Division and the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of North Fifth Street. HCSO said the warrant stemmed from an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation by the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Division.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after an electronic service provider reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an account registered to the suspect, Manual Hernandez, 38, of Quinlan, had transmitted child sexual abuse material.

Authorities took Hernandez into custody and transported him to the Hunt County Detention Center, HCSO said. Jail records show Hernandez has been charged with possession of child pornography, a first-degree felony. His bond was set at $300,000.
