OnePlus 15 Leak Hints At Major Redesign And Upgraded Camera Module

The OnePlus 15 is expected to debut later this year as the successor to the OnePlus 13, with a fresh design and flagship-level specs. According to a recent leak, the phone will feature a flat 1.5K OLED display and a new square-shaped rear camera module housing a triple camera setup. Powering the device could be Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, aimed at delivering top-tier performance. While an official launch date hasn’t been confirmed, anticipation is already building for OnePlus’s next major release.

Tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared key specs of a new smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) chipset on Weibo. Although the phone’s name wasn’t mentioned, responses to the post strongly suggest the device in question is the upcoming OnePlus 15. This flagship model is said to feature a square-shaped rear camera module, a notable change from the OnePlus 13’s circular module. The handset is also expected to house a battery larger than 7,000mAh, along with support for 100W wired charging.

The OnePlus 15 is tipped to sport a flat 1.5K resolution display. To minimize bezel thickness, OnePlus may use LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) display technology. Camera-wise, the phone will likely include a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, which could also include a periscope lens for enhanced zoom capabilities. These upgrades are in line with the company’s push for design and performance improvements.

A previous leak suggested that the OnePlus 15 will first launch in China in October 2025, followed by a global release in January 2026. The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat LTPO panel and the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. This release schedule would mirror that of the OnePlus 13, which was launched in China in October 2024 and reached international markets in January 2025.

The OnePlus 13, priced at ₹69,999 for its 12GB + 256GB variant in India, came with a 6.82-inch LTPO 4.1 ProXDR display and a 6,000mAh battery. It supported 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It ran on the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and was available with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. It also featured a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera system—similar to what’s expected on the OnePlus 15, albeit with design and spec refinements.
