OnePlus is expanding its tablet lineup once again, this time focusing on the popular budget segment. After releasing the OnePlus Pad 2 and Pad 3 as premium devices, the brand is bringing affordability back into the spotlight with the OnePlus Pad Go 2, launching in India on December 17. Positioned as the successor to the original Pad Go from 2023, the new model introduces notable refinements in design, display quality, software, and connectivity.

Design Refresh: Sleek, Modern, and More Functional
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 borrows styling cues from the Pad 3, creating a more premium aesthetic than its predecessor. The most visible change is the repositioned rear camera: the circular module previously placed at the centre has now been shifted to the top corner, aligning with modern tablet design trends. The move not only enhances symmetry but also ensures the tablet rests flat without wobbling. The classic OnePlus logo continues to sit neatly in the middle of the back panel.
A Bigger, Brighter Display With Dolby Vision
Up front, the Pad Go 2 houses a 12.1-inch 2.8K display, offering a sharp 284 ppi density and Dolby Vision support. During our initial experience, the screen delivered vivid colours, excellent contrast, and crisp text rendering. OnePlus also equips the panel with TÜV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification to reduce eye strain during extended usage.
The company claims the display can reach 900 nits of peak brightness, which should support comfortable outdoor viewing. While the panel appears slightly reflective, early impressions suggest strong legibility.

Performance, UI Features, and 5G Support
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset. OnePlus says it can maintain fluid performance for up to four years, backed by TÜV SÜD Fluency certification. RAM and storage variants are yet to be disclosed.
A major software highlight is Open Canvas, OnePlus’s own multitasking environment designed for large displays. With intuitive gesture-based controls, users can launch split-screen mode, resize windows, and switch tasks seamlessly, pushing the tablet closer to laptop-like usage.
The Shadow Black edition will mark the brand’s first tablet with 5G connectivity, enhancing its appeal for students, travellers, and remote workers.
The device will also support the OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo, a new stylus aimed at creators, note-takers, and productivity-focused users.
Camera and Battery
The tablet keeps a single rear camera, now redesigned, while promising improved software processing. On battery, the Pad Go 2 packs a massive 10,050mAh cell, supporting 33W SUPERVOOC charging, reverse wired charging, and long endurance, OnePlus claims up to:

- 53 hours music
- 60 hours standby
