Calling all feline lovers: This new East Side hangout spot is truly the cat’s pajamas. Enter a world of whimsy at Sydney’s Cat Lounge & Sanctuary, a charming lounge inspired by Alice in Wonderland and Bridgerton that features darling adoptable cats from Lockhart Animal Shelter and Central Texas Feline Rescue. After more than 15 years as a volunteer in animal rescue, co-founder Quin Whiddon wanted to create an interactive haven where guests could play—and fall in love with—felines looking for their forever home.
Guests can book 45-minute sessions Tuesday through Sunday to visit the cat cafe, which serves artisanal sodas, zero-proof cocktails, wine, and teas worthy of a Mad Hatter party. Featuring royal thrones and teacup chairs, the eye-catching indoor space also includes decor such as mushrooms, a castle, and a wall full of clocks.
