Podcaster Tim Dillon on Dan Bongino: “I think he wants very, very badly to go back to podcasting. I don’t think he wants to be the deputy director of the FBI.”

TIM DILLON (HOST): Kash is the head of the FBI. What is Dan Bongino? I’m blanking now on what he actually does. OK. He’s the deputy director of the FBI and then Kash Patel is the director of the FBI. OK. Dan Bongino reportedly is going rogue. This guy’s like, ‘Hey, I, I have a podcast.’ This is, Dan Bongino had a podcast. He had a radio show. And now he’s the deputy of the Director of the FBI. And I think what he’s starting to realize is that while America may have an expiration date, podcasting is forever.

So he’s protecting his future career as a podcaster. I’m not kidding. This is not a comedic bit. He genuinely is going, ‘I want to come out of this administration and go back to a fun job like podcasting. I don’t want to be the deputy director of the FBI and cover up child sex scandals all day. I want to read ads for blue chew, from my house.’ It’s a good gig this podcasting. It’s not bad. Hard to complain about. Yes, there’s a good amount of it happening all the time, you got to do it every week. But I think Dan Bongino is going, ‘I don’t want to be around these people. I don’t want to be near these people. I didn’t sign up for this.’

I don’t know Dan Bongino at all. I’ve never done his show. I’ve never been in the same room with him, but I imagine he’s saying to himself, ‘I didn’t sign up for this. I don’t want to be part of this cover up. I want out.’ So he’s leaking stuff to the media about Epstein and other members of the administration are essentially telling him to shut up. But I don’t think he will. I think he wants very, very badly to go back to podcasting. I don’t think he wants to be the deputy director of the FBI. He goes, ‘That’s not fun. I don’t want to do that. I want to go back to doing my show. Let me do my goddamn show. I want out.’ This is the whole thing. He doesn’t want to be part of this. All of these people are about to turn on each other in a very public way. You can see this coming from a mile away.
