In the latest episode of “Power Book IV: Force,” Tommy finds out Mireya is pregnant, and Miguel’s decision to spare Tommy may cost him his life. Here is the recap for “Asset Forfeiture.”
Tommy and Diamond have tension over business.
Vic and some of his father’s former associates head to the bar being run by the Albanians. He is promptly reminded that Tommy Egan is in control now and there will be no talks to return to Flynn territory.
Vic accepts this with the idea of getting the bar back another way. One of the men shows him the headline about Claudia’s death.
Tommy and Diamond catch up. They examine the guns they stole from the now deceased Yardies gang. Tommy warns Diamond not to make moves behind his back again. Although Diamond thinks they should keep the guns for CBI, Tommy says they will use them to get the Assyrians away from Miguel.
Tommy meets with Ashur, the leader of the Assyrians gang. He agrees to abandon Miguel and join the coalition after Tommy shows him the guns stolen from the Yardies.
Mireya’s pregnancy is revealed to Tommy via a voicemail.
Claudia’s death has only put more pressure on Stacy’s political ambitions. Without the takedown of the Marquez cartel, her chances of becoming mayor are slim.
Miguel receives a phone call from his right-hand man, Cruz. He was recently arrested after drugs were found in his car. Unfortunately for the Insane Princes crew, detectives are investigating the extermination of the Yardies and suspect Che’s cartel (the Estrada cartel) could be a link. His bail was set at $5 million, and Miguel has no idea where he can get ten percent of that in cash on short notice. Regardless, Mireya assures him things will work out like they always do for him.
After Tommy catches up with Shanti, Jenard tells her he and Diamond met with Che recently. Shanti is furious to learn Jenard took the meeting without her, so she gives him the silent treatment. Jenard later picks up cash from Manny Fresh. She tells him he can get pure fentanyl from Chinatown and make a fortune. This piques his interest.
Tommy finds Mireya’s phone stuck in the couch after it rings, and a voicemail from Planned Parenthood is left.
Diamond plots behind Tommy’s back.
Miguel visits Ortega in prison. Ortega agrees to send one of his assassins to take out Tommy after he leaves their family dinner with Mireya. If Tommy isn’t killed, Ortega will have Miguel put down.
Tommy confronts Mireya about not telling him she was pregnant. She explains she was excited about her pregnancy until she came to Tommy’s place and saw blood and bullet holes everywhere after he killed Claudia. But she decided to keep the baby because she knows Tommy will protect them. This makes Tommy happy.
Jenard talks Diamond into selling Fentanyl through Manny Fresh’s Hong Kong connect. Since Tommy doesn’t like Fentanyl, Diamond says they will have the Coalition vote on the matter.
Mireya convinces Tommy to give Miguel the cash to bail out Cruz.
Miguel has a change of heart about Tommy.
Tommy pops up at the meeting Stacy scheduled with Vic. Both Vic and Tommy make Stacy understand that her career and mayoral campaign is over if she doesn’t pin Claudia’s death on one of the Marquez soldiers.
Stacy and the feds arrest a Marquez cartel member after D-Mac plants the gun Tommy used to kill Claudia outside one of their homes.
Family dinner is awkward until Tommy tells Miguel that Mireya is having a baby. The news makes Miguel quietly decide he must keep Tommy alive. So he talks Tommy into staying at the restaurant longer to get to know him and talk about their deceased mother. Miguel later receives a disturbing photo confirming he is now on Ortega’s hit list. He failed to make sure Tommy left the restaurant in time to be killed by his hitman.
