In the latest episode of “Power Book IV: Force,” Tommy’s war against CBI results in a great loss. Here are the highlights for “Build Back Better.”
Tommy has a new enemy to watch out for.
Stacy’s ex, Detective Bobby, rushes to the crime scene to see her corpse. He finds her phone and calls Tommy to issue a threat once he’s alone inside his car.
Tommy has enough on his plate now that he is on bad terms with Diamond. He’s also been kicked out of CBI. Tommy wants to burn it all down, but Mireya encourages him to take the coalition back with Miguel’s help. This isn’t advice Tommy wants to take.
Meanwhile, Diamond is still raging from his altercation with Tommy. He tells Jenard that Tommy is likely to meet with Che on his own to save himself. And they need to get their allies on board because Tommy will hit back.
Diamond thinks Jenard needs Shanti to keep him sharp, but Jenard hasn’t told Diamond about their breakup.
Shanti is moving on.
Tommy meets with Che to talk him into doing business without CBI. Che gives Tommy 24 hours to sell his drugs. If he fails, Tommy and his loved ones will be killed.
Mireya visits Miguel and sees his men are preparing for a gun fight. Miguel tells her the Marquez cartel is after him because he called off a hit on Tommy. Although this news infuriates her, she urges Miguel to join Tommy now that he’s been ousted from CBI.
Jenard tries to talk Shanti into giving him another chance. She refuses and has no interest in being in the coalition again. Jenard insults her once more and claims he can get on top without her.
Bobby talks to Tseng privately about Stacy’s death. He tells Tseng he believes Tommy killed her. He gives Tseng the burner phone he took from the crime scene.
Tseng and Bobby try to talk Vic into helping them take down Tommy but he’s too concerned with his own safety to do that.
Shanti and Tommy form a partnership.
Tommy checks on JP after the house was ransacked by the feds. D-Mac stops by. Tommy asks his nephew to help him sell Che’s drugs fast. D-Mac and Tommy tell JP about Diamond and Jenard setting D-Mac up to be killed. This angers JP, but Tommy begs him not to look for Jenard.
JP doesn’t listen to Tommy. He beats up Jenard while he’s high, and Shanti’s spy Raheem watches the violence play out in front of him.
Shanti accompanies Tommy to his meeting with Peter, the leader of the Albanian mob. Both are able to talk Peter into working together and moving on from CBI. Shanti is Tommy’s new partner.
Mireya tells D-Mac and JP she’s pregnant while she’s patching up JP’s hands. JP and D-Mac are ecstatic.
D-Mac pulls Tommy aside to tell him he hasn’t had much success selling drugs because Marshall has chosen to stick with CBI.
Tseng receives a visit from Chang, one of Ortega’s men. He insists Ortega will be released from prison soon, and the RICO case is going away. Chang smiles.
Mireya has a scary moment at work.
Jenard and Diamond continue to make erratic decisions. Diamond kills Kendra after she tells them she’s out and working with Tommy and Shanti. He then orders Jenard to tell Kilo that it was D-Mac who killed his nephew, Mad Dog.
Diamond tries to convince Shanti to leave Tommy and rejoin CBI. She turns down the invite and tells Diamond that Jenard never stopped plotting to kill him. He doesn’t believe her. Before he leaves, Diamond tells her Kendra is dead, and CBI is taking over her territories.
Ortega’s hitman pursues Mireya while she’s in the parking deck at work. She shoots him and runs him over with her car.
Vic catches Tommy off guard. Bobby stops Vic and tells Tommy he’s coming for him.
When Tommy and Miguel go to the parking deck to check on Mireya, they figure out Ortega is behind the hit. Mireya thinks this is a sign that Tommy and Miguel need to work together.
Jenard makes a move he can’t take back.
Shanti’s cash is the answer to Tommy’s Che’s problem, but this comes at a cost. Shanti will be at the next meeting they have with Che.
Jenard rolls up on JP looking for D-Mac with Kilo and his right-hand man, Jojo. JP refuses to tell them where they can find D-Mac. They FaceTime Tommy, and he unfortunately has to hear Jenard shoot and kill JP.
Tommy falls to his knees.
After Kilo says he and his crew are leaving CBI, Jenard kills him and Jojo.
