Teyana Taylor has revealed that she needs immediate vocal surgery after doctors found a noncancerous growth on one of her vocal cords.

Teyana Taylor Reveals She Needs Immediate Vocal Surgery After Doctors Found Noncancerous Growth On One Of Her Vocal Cords
On Wednesday, August 6, Taylor took to her Instagram Story to share a lengthy message with her more than 18 million followers. Furthermore, Taylor explained that she’s been “quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now.”
“And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors. I’ve been told I need vocal surgery immediately,” she explained. “They’ve found a noncancerous growth on one of my cords that’s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort…”
Taylor revealed her gratitude for doctors catching the growth and noted that it means she’ll need to give herself time to “pause” and “fully heal.” Additionally, Taylor noted that she’ll be stepping back from some upcoming, scheduled appearances. However, she added that her album, ‘Escape Room,’ will still be releasing on August 22.
Ultimately, Taylor noted that “this moment hurts,” but she’ll return as the “best version” of herself.
