‘Shittiest Business Decision Humanly Possible!’ Volkswagen Draws Flak For Introducing Subscription On Top Speed

German car-maker Volkswagen has rolled out a subscription model to access top-speed for some of its electric car models.

Per reports, customers who bought the ID.3 range of vehicles can opt to pay a little extra to unlock the maximum throttle of their car’s engine. The company is offering the services for £16.50 per month or £165 annually. Also, at £649, the patron can avail the service for lifetime. The caveat is that the subscription cannot be transferred to other cars by the same user. It will only be valid for a singular model. Per the company, the new subscription based model will allow users to opt for a sportier experience.

Reactions poured in with users online dropping hilarious memes and taking a dig at the car manufacturer. One user screamed, “STOP PUTTING PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS ON EVERYTHING.” Another remarked, “The problem isn’t so much that they are doing it. It’s that there are people who are going to pay for it. If people stopped paying for crap like this, they would stop doing it.” A third user quipped, “Can’t wait for the “brake subscription.” $50/month if you want to stop safely.” Yet another user wrote, “Imagine getting out-accelerated by someone’s debit card declining.” Another netizen asked
