The big news was revealed in an Instagram post shared Tuesday (Aug. 26) by the superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, accompanied by the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” As of press time, the post has more than 30.6 million likes. The announcement consisted of a carousel of photos of the couple getting cozy amidst a slew of beautiful pink and white floral arrangements.
Swifties took to celebrating this monumental occasion by shopping for the dress she wears in the engagement photos — Ralph Lauren’s Striped Silk-Blend halter in a maxi length. The dress currently retails for $319 on Ralph Lauren’s website, but is sold out pretty much everywhere.
The viral dress features a vertical stripe in black set against a white backdrop. The bodice is slightly ruched, creating textural interest, while the straps tie at the nape of the neck in a dainty bow. Simple and summery, the dress was a perfect pick for a photo op surrounded by flowers.
Swift wore the star piece with strappy tan Louis Vuitton Lv Isola sandals, a bunch of gold jewelry and her engagement ring, of course.
