TEYANA TAYLOR GOES ON PRESS RUN WITH DAUGHTERS, OPENS UP ABOUT HEALTH SCARE

Teyana Taylor hit the press trail with her two mini fashionistas by her side.

The singer, actress, and director, 34, was spotted at SiriusXM Studios on August 5, accompanied by her daughters Iman “Junie” Tayla, 9, and Rue Rose, 4.

The outing came during a busy promo week for Taylor, who also hosted a listening party for her upcoming project Escape Room, dropping August 22.

For the press appearance, Taylor wore a bold all-black ensemble featuring leather pants, a sheer top, and oversized sunglasses. Junie rocked a graphic tee repping Escape Room, paired with denim shorts and black-and-white sneakers. Rue added a pop of color in a lilac shirt, white pants, and pink kicks.

Just one day after the NYC outing, she revealed she’s facing a health challenge that’s forcing her to step back from work and undergo vocal cord surgery.

“I’ve been quietly dealing with some vocal challenges for a while now. And after a lot of back and forth with my doctors, I’ve been told I need vocal surgery immediately,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “They found a noncancerous growth on one of my cords that’s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort. Thankfully, we caught it & it’s treatable — but it does mean I need to pause and give myself time to fully heal.”

Taylor shares both daughters with ex-husband Iman Shumpert. Earlier this year, Taylor celebrated Mother’s Day with an emotional message to her girls.

“I swear, the biggest honor of my life is getting to be y’alls mommy. Thank You for being an example of pure, gentle, unconditional Love. You are the reasons my heart beats. My heart will forever beat to the drum you both play. I am forever grateful. I love you both so much,” she wrote.
