The multi-hyphenate queen—artist, actress, and creative powerhouse—Teyana Taylor did not come to play, okay? Pulling up to Hot 97 in a sleek, black leather jacket and rocking a sharp pixie cut that had the girls gagging, sis was already serving before she even touched the mic. But it was what she said that really turned heads. In her sit-down with Nessa, Teyana opened up about the quiet freedom that comes with choosing yourself after giving love everything you had.
“When you finally get to a place where you’re done…you have nothing else to say. There’s nothing else to say. I love until I can’t love no more. And, I give until I can’t give no more. I don’t force my way out of anything that I’m not ready to leave. I have to be at my wits end. When you do all you can do, there’s nothing else to say when you walk away.”
No names were dropped, but y’all already know—the streets be louder than the interview, and many are convinced Teyana was allegedly speaking on her relationship with ex-husband, Iman Shumpert. While Nessa may have been asking about her label situation, Teyana seemingly gave insight into the emotional weight behind it all.

Teyana Taylor Steps Into Her Soft Love Era
Chile, Teyana Taylor is really in her cup of tea era—and we are sipping every drop! As previously reported, Teyana opened up about her upcoming project ‘Escape Room’ and gives major flowers to her man, Aaron Pierre, for being a huge part of the creative process. “Damn near,” she joked, saying he was basically an executive producer.
But, it’s how she described the way he loves her that really had us in our feelings. Teyana is “really big” on how somebody “handles” her. And, she broke it down with a metaphor that’s now living rent-free in our heads. “You gotta handle me like a cup of tea… you walk slower, you’re more calm, more delicate,” she explained. Whew! If that ain’t soft love, we don’t know what is. Tey added that Pierre makes her feel “safe and not in survival mode.” Say what you want, but that right there is the real flex.
