US 380 lane closures set for Sunday night in Denton County as traffic shifts

Drivers in Denton County should expect overnight lane closures on U.S. 380 at FM 424 in Crossroads as traffic is shifted to new pavement, according to TxDOT.

DENTON COUNTY, Texas — A portion of U.S. 380 in Crossroads will see overnight lane closures Sunday as crews move traffic onto a newly built section of pavement, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The closures, scheduled from 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, are expected to cause delays for drivers traveling through the area at FM 424.

TxDOT said the work is part of an ongoing project to reconfigure traffic patterns along U.S. 380. Drivers are urged to allow extra time, consider alternate routes and use caution around construction crews.

The agency noted that shifting traffic onto the new pavement is one step toward the final layout of the roadway, which is still under construction.
