Want to Buy an iPhone? Now Do It Over a Video Call with Apple Specialist

Apple has launched its ‘Shop with a Specialist over Video’ service in India, offering customers a seamless way to explore and purchase Apple products remotely. Through a secure, one-way video call, users connect with a live Apple Store Specialist who is visible on screen, while customers interact through audio only. This personalized assistance aims to replicate the in-store shopping experience from the comfort of home.

India is now the second country globally to gain access to this service after the US, reflecting Apple’s growing focus on the Indian market. With e-commerce booming in the country, the service is timed perfectly to tap into the rising demand for tech-savvy, guided online shopping. Indian users can inquire about products like the iPhone 16 series, get trade-in and financing advice, or resolve doubts before making a purchase.

Karen Rasmussen, Head of Apple Retail Online, emphasized that the move reflects Apple’s dedication to making its services accessible across India. She stated, “India is a vibrant and dynamic market, and we’re thrilled to deepen our connection with customers here through Shop with a Specialist over Video. Whether someone lives in a metro city or a smaller town, we’re committed to making it easier than ever for them to access the incredible products, services, and support Apple is known for. Our team members are excited to connect with even more customers in India and provide them with exceptional service as they learn what Apple products suit their needs.”

The video shopping service is available in English and works across both iOS and non-iOS devices. Users simply visit the Apple India Store website and book a slot. Specialists can offer product comparisons, feature explanations, and advice, simulating the feel of a walk-in Apple Store interaction.

This launch comes shortly after the Apple Store app debuted in India, and is part of a broader push by the company to solidify its retail presence in the region. The service operates Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. IST, and demonstrates Apple’s strategic focus on building deeper customer engagement in India.
