Role Model brought out Charli XCX during his Saturday Night Live performance last night (October 11). Making his debut as musical guest, the singer-songwriter performed two songs from the deluxe edition of his second LP Kansas Anymore, ‘Some Protector’ and ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out’. He traditionally invites a special guest for the latter, and Charli XCX joined the likes of Troye Sivan, Conan Grey, Reneé Rapp, and SNL‘s own Bowen Yang as his Sally. Watch it happen below.
Charli hosted SNL for the first time last year, pulling double double duty and performing ‘360’ and ‘Sympathy Is a Knife’. She and Role Model have been jokingly feuding on social media due to faux “Sally girl” drama after he featured Sivan, her Sweat Tour co-headliner singer, during one of his shows. You could say it’s actually sweet.
