Zac Brown, Kendra Scott are engaged: ‘So happy and grateful’

WASHINGTON — Country star Zac Brown is engaged to jewelry mogul Kendra Scott, as confirmed in an exclusive with People.

“We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” the couple told the outlet, sharing a sweet photo of their sunset engagement on a dock. Scott showed off a stunning pink diamond ring as the pair beamed for the camera.

The two first went public as a couple earlier this year, making their red carpet debut at the American Music Awards in May. A source told People at the time that they were “head over heels” after being introduced by a mutual friend. Since then, they’ve been spotted on fishing trips, concert dates, and even visiting Brown’s Georgia hometown.

During an appearance on the “Today” show on Friday, Brown joked about picking out a ring for a jewelry icon, saying, “What are you going to get someone who designs jewelry?” before adding that they feel “so blessed” to have found each other.

Both Brown, 46, and Scott, 51, have been married before. Between them, they have eight children, ranging in age from 11 to 23. Brown was previously married to model and actress Kelly Yazdi, with whom he tied the knot in August 2023. The pair announced their split just four months later, and their divorce has led to legal issues.

In 2024, Brown filed a lawsuit claiming Yazdi violated a confidentiality agreement, while Yazdi has publicly accused him of attempting to silence her through litigation.

In a recent Instagram post, she confirmed the case is headed to trial on September 15, writing, “Zac continues to keep me in this ‘divorce case masquerading as an employment lawsuit’… I will be there as well. I can’t say I’m looking forward to our ‘reunion,’ but I am looking forward to putting this all behind me.”

Meanwhile, Brown is preparing for a busy winter. The Zac Brown Band recently announced a December residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, coinciding with the release of their seventh studio album, Love & Fear. “This show is the story of my life that I have never shared,” Brown said in an Instagram post, calling the album his “masterpiece so far.”
