FORECAST
Happy Fall, y’all! The autumnal equinox occurs at 1:19pm today, officially ushering us into a new season.
TODAY/TUESDAY
It’ll be hot. After a round of morning clouds, sun this afternoon will push temperatures into the mid-90s. Humidity levels will be high enough for heat index values to reach 100° or higher. Tuesday will play out similarly, other than it could be a degree or two warmer.
CHANGES WEDNESDAY
A front will slide into the area during the day on Wednesday. For San Antonio, it likely doesn’t arrive until the afternoon. It will help to stir up scattered showers and storms. A few of the storms could be strong, while street flooding is a possibility underneath the heavier downpours. Rain chances will linger into Wednesday night, before coming to an end early on Thursday.
THURSDAY AND BEYOND
The front will drive in drier and cooler air by Thursday. This should clear skies fairly rapidly on Thursday. It also mean some beautiful mornings lie ahead. Lows in the mid-60s are forecast for Friday and Saturday mornings. Expect a dry forecast, until rain chances return early next week.
