WWE Premium Live Events heading to movie theaters

WWE is teaming up with Fandango to bring SummerSlam to the big screen.

WASHINGTON — The WWE is bringing its premium live events to movie theaters across the country.

Starting with SummerSlam 2025, WWE and Fandango will partner on a “multi-event collaboration” to showcase World Wrestling Entertainment’s premium shows in cinemas.

Regal Cinemas will be the anchor partner for SummerSlam next month, though the companies expect more theater chains to join for future WWE Premium Live Events.

“WWE is one of the most electrifying global entertainment brands, and its events deserve to be experienced on the big screen,” said Will McIntosh, President, Fandango. “We’re thrilled to work with WWE and Regal Cinemas to bring the action-packed SummerSlam 2025 cinema presentation to fans nationwide.”

This isn’t the first time that WWE has partnered with movie theaters for one of its premium live events, which commonly used to be pay-per-view events. SummerSlam 2021 was first shown in select cinemas nationwide, as was Wrestlemania 38 the following year.

Fans wanting to catch the SummerSlam excitement on the big screen can either purchase a single-night ticket or a two-night ticket bundle that also includes an exclusive t-shirt.

Tickets for WWE SummerSlam airing at select Regal theaters are on sale now through Fandango

When is SummerSlam 2025?

The first-ever two-night SummerSlam is taking place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3. It’s scheduled to feature the WrestleMania 41 rematch between Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes.

In the U.S., SummerSlam will be streaming exclusively on Peacock starting at 6 p.m. Eastern.

Peacock has a contract to carry WWE’s premium live events through March 2026.
