A user hailed a bike taxi for herself but cancelled the ride, stating how the captain was overweight. She mockingly filmed a video of the rider from ride-hailing firm Rapido. The rider, visibly not of an average physical stature, carried a backpack while waiting for the user to turn up. She instead proceeded to film the guy while passing crass remarks.
In her Instagram reel, the user quipped, “Rapido wala bulaya, Rapido wala dekh rahe ho?” (Called a Rapido. Can you see him?) She further remarked,
“Main chupke video bana rahi hoon, jyada offend na ho jaye, but main kaha baithungee?” (I am secretly filming so that he doesn’t get offended. But where would I sit?)
The lady further added, “Koi mujhe batayega, b*****od…” (Will someone tell me *expletive*)
She thinks that shaming a hardworking, honest man is good.
She could have simply cancelled the ride, but she chose to record a video and mocked him online in front of millions. pic.twitter.com/g58uPwCWrQ

Reactions poured in on social media slamming the woman for body shaming the gig worker. One user suggested, “The guy should file a case against the lady.”
Another user wrote, “really disheartening to see someone go out of their way to shame a hardworking person just trying to do their job. If she had an issue, canceling the ride would’ve been enough. But choosing to record and mock him publicly in front of millions?” “That says more about her than him. We should uplift honesty and hard work—not humiliate it,” the user added.
Several users remarked how the content was “In poor taste.”
One user remarked, “Outright offensive. Filming someone without consent, using cuss words, trying to gain popularity at the cost of some poor, honest, and hardworking guy.” “Bodyshaming, misandry,” the user further jibed.

Bodyshaming, misandry.
She thinks she can get away with this because of her gender.
If need be, she can play the victim card.
