Samsung is said to launch an enhanced version of the existing Live Captions feature in China. As per the report, the South Korean tech giant has named this new Artificial Intelligent (AI) feature Voice Captioning. It has the ability to transcribe users’ voices through the microphone, real-time audio and live conversations. This feature is tipped to be available in the Chinese market with the latest One UI 8 OS.

According to a report, Samsung has unveiled a new AI feature named Voice Captioning, which is currently available in China. The report shows images of this new function that can be called an enhanced version of the existing Live Captions. The previous version had the ability to transcribe the calls in real-time but it was limited to the same language, whereas the new feature can do this task in real-time to anything the user speaks through the microphone. So there are no limitations as the Voice Captioning feature can generate real-time captions in multiple languages.

Furthermore, it allows the users to generate a voice over of a video being played on the device and they can choose between generating captions for the content being played or of what the user says. The report also claims that the Voice Captioning feature can generate a summary of the transcriptions and save as a Word file to allow users to refer to the original conversation. Currently, the new feature is being offered with Samsung’s One UI 8 update.
